January T-Superpost

This would be generally be like the outcast of my January photos and posts because they're all so random to the point that it wouldn't entitle them to a full proper post. HAHA POOR PHOTOS *point point*

Then again, they're just some of the stuff I've been doing throughout the month.

And sooo, school reopened during January. Still boring as heck.
Poor michelle was cold that day so being the gentleman I am (flick hair LOL), I lent her my jacket :)
Some irrelevant photos I took before driving my classmates out for lunch.

Redken Extreme

This post was supposed to be together with the previous one but I didn't want it to be too long, thus explains the separation. Remember on my previous post, I've mentioned that Jaime from Salon Vim let me bring 2 products home, right?

It's the REDKEN extreme conditioner and shampoo!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE REDKEN PRODUCTS. I've been using their molding paste for my hair since 2009 and I'm really liking it. Their hair wax/clay/products seems to always make my hair stronger and healthier with every application.
Redken Extreme Shampoo
Provides a rich, abundant lather that gently cleanses, restores strength and adds shine

Redken Extreme Conditioner
Detangles and restores strength to distressed hair leaving it supple and resilient.

As you guys know, I've been bleaching my hair since december (6 times to achieve the platinium blonde and 2 times recently on my roots) and thus my hair would be naturally very dry and frizzy.

However these two products have been consistently providing ceramide which helps to repair your hair structure! I've been using both products for a week now and my hair has been becoming smoother with every wash.

Both the shampoo and conditioner retails at $37.50 and you can get them at Salon Vim (Bugis/313)

Remember on my previous post, I've mentioned that there is something really special about my hair colour. Well here's the thing. Everytime I try camwhore to show you guys the actual colour of my hair, I've no idea why the pictures doesn't show the true nature of my hair colour.

Currently, the hair colour is as bright as the purple shown below.

However, I've no idea why but my hair always appear dark blue whenever I take photos with my camera/phone/laptop cam. I've tried taking the photos on different exposures and lighting but it still looks dark blue.

And this is the only picture that shows the colour closest to the one I'm currently having >_>

I even tried taking a stool to see if there's a colour difference between the actual stool and the pictures but it's still the same -_- So it's just my hair. HAHA

So anyway, the rest of the pictures will be a mini photo gallery of my new hair colour. Enjoy ;)

Salon Vim: I AM A GRAPE (purple hair)

Made a trip down to Salon Vim last Tuesday to get my hair done for the upcoming Chinese New Year!
Kinda sick of the blonde hair already and I needed to snip some of my ends off. Pictures taken before heading down to Salon Vim Bugis :) Was on a trip with the class to Marina Bay.
Salon Vim Bugis is located just behind the bus stop opposite Bugis Junction (just beside Bugis street!) YOU CAN'T MISS IT!
I was reallocated to Salon Vim Bugis after it's opening not long ago. I was pretty nervous as I'll be experiencing a brand new stylist and environment.

Luckily, the staff at Salon Vim Bugis were really nice!

One thing I've to mention is that I'm really loving the lights they use here. It's clear white and just so you know, clear light is one of the best lighting for you to take pictures!

I'll be introducing to you my new stylist in a while (actually you can spot her at the back heh).

I think that our hair really plays a very big part with our looks and facial features. Realize that I look much more mature when my fringe is facing towards the side but younger and fresher when I've my fringe down?

Which do you prefer? Me with my fringe combed to the side or with my fringe down?

Quickly take a couple of pictures before my hair gets snipped off :p
In case you're wondering, I'm currently using the Casio EX-ZR1000!

AND YES! This is the super awesome Jamie!

Jaime was initially from Chez Vous and has 12 years of experience. YES 12 !

I was kinda shock when she told me she had 12 years of experience because she looks really young. Even my previous stylist from twister didn't had that long of an experience.

One thing I really like about Jaime is

#1 She's really really nice

I feel like I was pampered by her throughout the entire haircutting/hairdye session.

#2 She is professional

She's really informative and ensures that I'm not facing any discomfort during the hairdye/haircut session  Not only that, she pays attention to my wants and ensures that she delivers the results. I am really happy to say that I'm able to leave my hair in her hands!

She trimmed my hair to give it a healthier look :D
TADAH! I look younger already LOL.

Previously when I actually went blonde, maybe people have been saying that I look older and that they preferred me with darker hair colours.

My initial plan was to go red but after seeing countless people over the internet going red, Jaime and I discussed into going for a different colour - Dream Purple! (V04)
At the end of the day, I would have blueberry hair at the start and eventually after a few weeks, I'll have the dream purple hair (lilac).

Step 1: Bleaching of roots.

I look like the Statue of Liberty LOLOL.

Just kidding, the steamer behind helps to open my hair follicles to quicken the bleaching process.
As I was hungry, Jaime got me this biscuits and she even asked if I needed more. Ahhh I swear she's really nice. Ate like two packets and brought one home :p
ANDDD MAHHH DINNER ARRIVED YAY! My current favorite fast food, TORI Q!

Crispy chicken skin, pork with asparagus, chicken meat and quill eggs!
And the dear girl who dropped by just to deliver the food to me. Feels so loved :D

Step 2: Bleaching round 2.

And after 2 hours, it's time to set the purple in!

And after washing off the hairdye...

Lastly, Jaime styled my hair before I left the salon as I was late for something.

Not forgetting a shot with her before I left.

If you've been following me on instagram (tylerhikaru), you would have seen this picture already.
" I am a grape "

Frankly speaking, I was having second thoughts during the hair-dye process. I wasn't sure if the loud purple will really suit me. However, it somehow did and I've received a lot compliments for it.

Then again... I kept getting stares whenever I gym and it's really kinda weird. I might be toning down to a darker colour after CNY. I hope the blackcurrent purple will fade to the lilac colour soon!

Jaime let me bring home 2 hair products that day too! I'll explain more about this 2 products on my next blogpost !!! There's also something really special about my current hair colour but I'll only tell you guys on my next post. So do keep coming back daily to check if I've updated! ;)

Once again, thank you Jaime for the awesome and professional experience, haircut and colour :) I've to thank Salon vim and Gushcloud too! If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to have my hair cut by Jaime!
